Gratitude Is Great!

Gratitude is saying “Thanks!”
For stars, and hugs, and fish in tanks!
For sunny days and skies so blue,
For friends like me, and friends like you!
For cookies warm and stories told,
For cozy beds when nights get cold.
For puppies’ tails that wag and play,
For smiles that chase the clouds away.
For crayons bright and songs to sing,
For flowers that bloom each lovely spring.
For mom and dad and teachers too,
For all the kind things people do.
Gratitude means hearts that shine,
And happy thoughts that twirl and twine.
Today I thank all those I love
I thank my lucky stars above.

The Magic Word: Gratitude

Gratitude’s a magic word,
The nicest one you’ve ever heard!
It isn’t bought, it isn’t sold,
It warms your heart, it turns to gold.
It’s noticing the little things—
The joy a simple moment brings.
A sunrise glow, a friend’s “hello,”
The laughter when the breezes blow.
It’s saying “thanks” for what we’ve got,
Not only things, but what we’re taught.
For lessons learned and dreams that grow,
For people kind we’ve come to know.
It’s feeling full when plates are bare,
It’s giving love, it’s learning care.
It’s sharing time, it’s lending hands,
It’s helping others where life stands.
Gratitude is quiet cheer,
It whispers softly, “I’m glad you’re here.”
And when we share it every day,
Its magic never fades away.
